Can you recommend an internet capable handheld device fulfilling these criteria?

I want something lightweight, not too expensive to run- my income is not great so don't want a pricey minimum contract. Also my sight is not very good, so it must be able to display text in a reasonable size font. Simplicity of use and reliability also count
