Do you think Pol Pot Khmer Rouge was actually on a good idea?

this question is somewhat offensive. My mom went through the khmer rouge and half of her family died because of it. How is it a good thing? Yes ts good to work for your food and housing but, no matter how hard they worked they never got exactly what they wanted. Each day that got two bowls of rice THATS IT. Now seriously could you imagine eating two SMALL bowls of rice for 5 years? Because iknow i cant and how could you say it was a good idea. If only you went through it or had a family member to tell you the horrible stories then you wouldnt have posted this question.
