Tell me if this is normal? What should i do about this i think its weird and i dont know how to say something?

Me ands my boyfriend have been together for over 2 years now, and his mom is really wierd .I dont know what to do about this. When he goes into the bathroom to pee she will stand by the door and watch him, and try concersating with him while hes doing that. When he sits at the kitchen table and eats , she will stand over his sholder and watch him and be in his personal space. And yester day something happend and her husband said you need to stop treating John (my boyfriend) like he is a baby hes 16 , he said that to johns mom. And she rubbs his(johns) arm while he is eating/sitting and bends down and rest her head on his sholder and like puts her arms around him for like 10 seconds, It was not just a normal hug. IT WAS WEIRD. Me and her husband looked at her in this crazy way.Johns and only child and his mom and dad have a sucky relationship , and honestly she treats John more like her husband then her husban! It seems like she trys to be all close to him in a werid way.what should ido
