Are those who 'oppose' evolution all from the USA?

I have been completely amazed by the numbers of people here who support a creationist/intelligent design view and are anti-evolution (though I've never quite understood how one can be 'anti' a scientific endeavour). It's not that there are NO creationists in the UK, but they are such a tiny minority that I very rarely come across them. Here is seems that about 1 in 3 Christians (at least) believes that the Biblical account of creation is accurate in a literal sense. If you are supportive of creationist/intelligent design ideas, please could you say where you come from and what has led you to this viewpoint?
