How do I approach the second date after it being canceled?

I set up a second date with this girl Thursday night but was very indecisive about what we were doing. We agreed on going out Saturday night but I mentioned going out with my friends. She canceled on me the next day saying she was really sorry but her friend is coming up to visit her. I feel like I messed up asking her to come out with my friends for a second date. Should I apologize for doing that? How should I approach her this time to get the second date?
