If a church carries insurance ..Why cant they be sued for an accident on their property??

MY job is on property rented from the church.I had a pretty bad fall.My company is non profit and the church has religious immunity to being sued ..If they have insurance whats the problem .My injuries arent going away just getting worse..Case was left in workers compensations lap and they dont want to pay either
